Why it is being parted out: the donor bike was in an accident. The impact was taken by the front forks; the engine and gearbox were not involved and are undamaged. We would rather say this up front than have you wonder why a running 30,000-mile motor is on the shelf.

Includes the 6-speed gearbox, alternator, starter, oil filter housing and sump, as pictured. All fluids drained. Bores and intake ports plugged for storage. Ships drained, ground freight only.

Sold as a used salvage assembly — running condition is as removed, not compression or leak-down tested. Buyers fitting this to anything other than an R 1200 GS should confirm gearbox ratios and mounting against their own application.
